Minnesota Grabs Lead In Fourth Inning For Victory Over SD
  • Minnesota took the lead late and defeated South Dakota 5-4 on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Minnesota batting in the bottom of the fourth when Chase Groshong singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
  • Minnesota built a four-run lead in the first inning and then held off South Dakota's charge. South Dakota scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Evin Edwards and a home run by Eli Hart.
  • Minnesota fired up the offense in the first inning. Logan Lunseth's sac fly scored one run for Minnesota.
  • In the top of the third inning, South Dakota tied things up at four when Eli homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.
  • Minnesota pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning.
