PLAYING AGE GUIDELINES

Sioux Falls Little League believes very strongly in helping children and their families make the most out of their Little League baseball experience. In doing so we want participants of our league to place their child in the most appropriate division. To help, SFLL offers divisions which cater to varying skill levels and are generally aligned with Little League International rules and standards. Please take a moment to review each division as described below before registering your child for the upcoming season.

2024 SCHEDULE

The Sioux Falls Little League Board of Directors have finalized the season outline for 2024!

As in past seasons, SFLL will follow a Monday through Thursday game and practice schedule. There may be additional practices at coaches discretion outside of our regularly scheduled program.

Opening Ceremonies is planned for April 24, 2024!
Just like last year, we will ask all players to be there and start lining up with their teams at 5:15 in full uniform. We will start the ceremonies at 5:30 and finish with a first pitch thrown out. We will then get right into games for the first night of Sioux Falls Little League 2024!

DIVISION INFORMATION

	Minors - Machine Pitch Players will develop a basic understanding of baseball rules, and practice to throw and catch with some consistency. They will be required to hit a ball thrown from a pitching machine at approximately 30mph. Although this is a non-competitive division, there are more rules than Tee Ball, and outs can be recorded.
	Minors - Player Pitch Considered "competitive and developmental" and league standings are kept. This division includes full Little League rules with only minor variations; including pitch count tracking. Players generally stay with the same Minors team once drafted, until moving up to Majors. All participating players are eligible to participate in an end of season division tournament and be chosen to a 10U All Star team that competes in the South Dakota State Tournament.
	Minors - Advanced and Majors Includes all aspects noted in the Minors section. All participating players are eligible to participate in an end of season division tournament and be chosen to a 11U All Star team that competes in the South Dakota State Tournament or a 12U All Star team that will compete in the Little League World Series tournaments with chances to advance out of South Dakota to the Whitestown, IN Regional Tournament and possibly on to the Little League Baseball World Series Tournament.
